Dias Islette
South of Kefalonia, between Katelios and Argostoli port, Dias isle is located. On the islet there is a little church. This temple was built on the remnants of the temple dedicated to god Zeus (Dias means Zeus in Greek) and was thus named after him. Around 1800 A.D. there was a monastery on the island that was destroyed by the earthquakes of 1953, while during th English occupation it was used as exile location. There we can moor and climb the stairs to the top. The view is magnificent. The endless "blue" of the Ionian sea, the view of Kefalonia and its mountain Ainos and the panoramic view of Zante is breathtaking!

Koutsoupia Beach
Koutsoupia beach is a beautiful tropical beach on the eastern part of the island. Somewhere between Sami and Poros, is easily accessible only by sea. The white sand with a few pebbles, clear blue waters along with its dense vegetation will tranfer you to a tropical destination away from the organized beaches. It is an ideal place for those who seek tranquility and relaxation.

Zante Island (Shipwreck Beach & Blue Caves)
Shipwreck (Nauagio) beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", located on the north-west shore of Zakynthos (Zante). In 1980, a freightliner ran aground in the waters around Zakynthos island after stormy weather. The ship was abandoned and still rests buried in the limestone gravel of the beach that now holds the famous nickname "Shipwreck beach".
The area is defined by its sheer limestone cliffs, white sand beaches and clear blue water. It is accessed only by boat. It is probably the most spectacular beach in the world! The Blue Caves are one of the most popular and advertised attractions of Zante island. They consist of particular geologic formations giving life to a succession of caves along the north-west coast of the island. The wild white-coloured rocky landscape together with the calm crystal clear blue of the water of the sea, create a beautiful contrast that leaves you speechless! The shape of the rocks together with the caves and the natural "tunnels" makes the place literally unique. Getting into these waters in order to experience and investigate the greatness of the blue caves, really makes this trip a once-in-life unforgettable experience! |
